Summer Book Sale
Join us during library hours on August 16th, 17th, and 18th for a special Summer Book Sale. Hardcovers, paperbacks, and magazines are all available at a great price. Don't miss it!
Summer Reading Program
"Sail Away" to far away places by reading 20 books throughout the summer. Turn in your reading log in August and receive a gift bag filled with goodies and a certificate of commendation signed by the Governor of Texas.
KWBB Summer Reading Club
Kids who read four books in a single week and record their titles on your KWBB Bookmark can drop the bookmark in the drawing box by noon on Friday for the chance to choose a prize from the awesome Showcase of Prizes.
Summer Story Hour
This summer the theme for Summer Story Hour is “Sail Away”. On Wednesday, July 11th, 18th, and 25th from 10:00 to 11:00 am, story tellers will be on hand to weave their magic and encourage summer reading.
Special Appearance by Julian Franklin
On August 1st, the acclaimed Julian Franklin closes out the series with "Set Sail", his own presentation of a high sees adventure exploring the magic of reading and writing. Join Julian and the Friends of the Library at the Ice House on August 1st at 10:00 am.
Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library is a group of active volunteers who support local library services. Support the Silsbee Public Library by joining FoL or by renewing your membership. Friends of the Library Book Bag Sale
Maroon Book Bags are the latest trend this season, so get yours today at the Silsbee Public Library. Each bag proudly displays the Silsbee Public Library logo. Proceeds from book bag sales will be dedicated to the library building fund. The fundraiser brings the dream of a bigger and better library closer to reality.
Ongoing Book Sale
Every Fall and Spring the Silsbee Public Library hosts a huge book sale. But did you know that there are always books available for sale at the library? Proceeds from all book sales benefit the building fund. Our book sale in the spring raised over $600 for the new building.
